ZERO MECHANISMS

What is a zero sofa mechanism and where is it used?

A zero sofa mechanism is a motion system that allows a sofa to operate close to the wall. Frame dimensions, opening direction, wall clearance, seat height and assembly method in the production line should be evaluated together when selecting the mechanism.

What is a zero sofa mechanism and where is it used?

Which problem does a zero mechanism solve?

Standard opening mechanisms need working clearance behind the sofa. A zero mechanism moves the seating area forward in a controlled way, allowing the sofa to be placed closer to the wall.

This is useful in compact living rooms, hotel rooms, smaller spaces and projects where wall-side placement is critical.

Which dimensions are needed for selection?

Zero mechanism selection should check inner frame width, side frame height, seat depth, leg height and total movement distance during opening together.

At prototype stage, the manufacturer should evaluate not only mechanism dimensions but also upholstery thickness, foam form and where connection plates meet the frame.

How is assembly secured in mass production?

Before mass production, left-right mechanism alignment, connection holes, opening-closing feel and wall clearance should be tested on the real frame.

When the assembly scheme, technical drawing and sample test are tracked together, repeatable production quality improves and service needs decrease.
