How is thread size determined?
First verify the bolt size and mounting hole in the mating part. Also consider the thickness of the wood, cast or metal surface and the material allowance around the connection.
Record VDS size, mating bolt, hole preparation and assembly direction together on the production sheet.
Sample connection check
Before serial production, assemble and disassemble the sample connection repeatedly and check rotation, stripping, loosening and surface deformation. Decide by the behavior of the complete connection system, not thread diameter alone.
